21.03.2006 - ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center
The Bochum ThyssenKrupp steel service center showcased its concentrated expertise at the 5th international insulation material and technology trade fair in Wiesbaden under the motto “Adding a little color”. The latest product innovations from the steel construction, technical and noise insulation sectors were presented. Trade visitors were able to find out about e.g. insulating cladding in metallic- and organic-coated finishes.
GALVALUME®/Aluzinc has firmly established itself in the insulation sector over the course of almost two decades. PLATAL®/PLADUR® are used for plant components subject to chemical stresses and where particular importance is placed on color for identifying pipelines. Even problematic noise insulation situations can be dealt with using the composite material BONDAL®.
In addition to these proven products, ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center GmbH is focusing on new products at this year’s trade fair: the new visual appearance of colorful steel coating systems. The steel service centers not only added a splash of color with the colorful product mix and variety of exhibits; colorful steel coating systems will also provide architects and planners with greater scope when designing facades with ReflectionsOne® or translucent colors. Trade visitors were able to participate in an interactive demonstration of an anti-graffiti coating. On both days of the trade fair, the capabilities of this protective system were put to the test. Under the motto “graffiti doesn’t pay”, visitors were able to see for themselves how easily sprayed-on graffiti can be washed away with water. A clear paint coating with a special additive provides the anti-graffiti effect. It prevents spray paint from reacting with the surface and bonding permanently with it. The graffiti can be washed off using water without the need for laborious pretreatment with solvents.
