Thin film coatings

Thin film coating is a weldable, pigmented coating system applied to one or both sides of cold-rolled or coated sheet in the coil-coating process. The organic thin film coatings result in a product with completely new properties: the cathodic protective effect of the zinc coatings is combined with the barrier effect, abrasion resistance, elasticity and established anti-friction properties of organic coatings. Typical applications for thin film coatings include exposed parts in the automotive industry.
