Electrolytically coated sheet
A cold-rolled sheet can be covered with a pure zinc or zinc-nickel coating via an electrolytic process. This coating is bonded to the base material and can provide outstanding corrosion protection for the steel sheet.
The main areas of use are in the automotive industry, e.g. for stampings through to exposed parts. This material is also virtually indispensable in the electronics industry and e.g. for partition walls.
