The benefits of cold-rolled strip compared to hot strip are better surface quality, good formability, closer tolerances and lower thicknesses. Cold-rolled flat products are versatile materials which can be used in many variations and numerous areas of application: in the automotive, enameling, tube and section, cask and construction industries and for sanitary facilities.

1)
For products which do not exhibit a specific yield strength, the values of the 0.2% offset yield strength apply for the yield strength values; for other products, the values for the lower yield strength apply. For thicknesses ≤ 0.70 mm but > 0.50 mm, 20 N/mm2 higher maximum yield strength values are permitted. For thicknesses ≤ 0.50 mm, 40 N/mm2 higher maximum yield strength values are permitted.
2)
For thicknesses ≤ 0.70 mm but > 0.50 mm, minimum values 2 units lower are permitted for the elongation. For thicknesses ≤ 0.50 mm, minimum values 4 units lower are permitted for the elongation.
3)
If the yield strength is pronounced, the values for the lower yield strength ReL apply.
