Combined coiling
The solution to many problems which arise during the otherwise standard production of individual coils for narrow slit strip with low outside diameters: through the development of a special cutting and reel system, it is possible to produce large coils with an outside diameter of up to 1,800 mm for narrow strip in all steel grades in the product range.
Jumbo coiling
The desire often expressed to the ThyssenKrupp steel service centers by customers for even longer strip led to a further development at the narrow strip center: in addition to the advantages of combined coiling, jumbo coiling also enables the winding of narrow strip up to 25,000 meters long.
With this system, the large combined coiled strips are welded together and oscillation wound. They can be supplied in thicknesses of 0.25 to 1.50 mm and widths of 5 to 50 mm. The coils are available in various widths from 200 up to 500 mm. Jumbo coils weighing up to 2.5 metric tons can be produced with inside diameters of 400 und 500 mm and outside diameters of max. 1,100 mm.
